Census 2000:  To identify tract boundaries in Spokane or Yakima, see the book in the reference collection in each location:
Census 2000 : maps of census tracts, Spokane & Yakima, WA
Riverpoint Reference HA696.S6 C46 2000  & Yakima Reference HA696.Y3 C46 2000

For data, or to build your own maps, choose Census Bureau home page .

Choose American FactFinder.

In FactFinder, use the Getting Detailed Data choices in the center of the screen:

Choose from "Decennial Census" > "get data"
Census 2000 Summary File 1 (SF 1) 100-Percent Data or Census 2000 Summary File 3 (SF 3) - Sample Data

For tract-level information:  At "Select a geographic type", use the drop-down arrow button to choose "Census tract". The screen will change, leading you through choices to reach a list of census tracts.  You may save or print the results.

For numerical tables, choose among the Data Sets listed. Each one takes you to a page listing all the sets.  Select from them depending on what you need: Poverty info is in SF-3. This is the one most people need most frequently.  Detailed population and race breakdown is in SF-1
