Recently the WSU Libraries subscribed to a new service called BrowZine ("brow-zeen") BrowZine provides an easy way to browse and access journal articles on your tablet (iPad and certain Android tablets).
- It makes it easy to scan tables of content, and open articles in your preferred PDF reader (i.e. GoodReader, iAnnotate, or PDFExpert) for reading and mark-up.
- Articles and/or article information can also be automatically sent to other places (including DropBox), as seen in the image below.
- You can create a bookshelf of journals you want to save for easy access, and also save individual articles.
Journals available in Browzine are based on agreements between BrowZine and individual publishers, (it also includes open access journals). New journals continue to be available; Project MUSE journals and the journals published by the American Physical Society were added over the summer.
BrowZine @ WSU: Read and Annotate Articles on your Tablet...
BrowZine™ @ Washington State University!
BrowZine is a tool to easily find, read, and monitor thousands of scholarly journals directly from your iPad or Android Tablet (Google Nexus, Samsung Galaxy, or Kindle Fire HD on the Ice Cream Sandwich platform). BrowZine is now available at the WSU Libraries. Questions? Contact Lorena @ email@example.com
Note: Browzine has integrated direct saving to Zotero (and as of 9/2013, RefWorks, and soon other reference management tools may be added as well) as an option when you open an article (see saving and sharing options in the column to the left).
